Bengo Media is to take over the production of two of BBC Radio Wales’ biggest live shows, Money for Nothing and Solid Gold Sunday.
Both shows are presented by legendary Welsh comedian and broadcaster, Owen Money. Owen has been a favourite of Radio Wales listeners since joining the station in the late 1980s.
Money For Nothing is a Saturday morning live request and dedication show (9am-12pm). It’s consistently been one of the most listened to shows on the station over the last decade.
Solid Gold Sunday (9.30am-12pm) is a music show, curated by Owen, featuring hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Bengo Media was awarded the production of both shows following a tendering process conducted by BBC Radio Wales. The company will take over production from 5th April 2025. It will begin a recruitment process for a producer for both shows immediately.
