What We Did
Working with the Education and Public Services Group Communications Team, we created a bilingual podcast series aimed at Wales’ 30,000 teachers to inform them about the changes happening to the curriculum and how it would affect them.
We worked alongside the team to:
- Understand the ambitions for the series
- Develop a concept and format to meet the ambitions for a bilingual series
- Source presenters for the Welsh and English editions
- Research and script each episode
- Remotely record, edit & publish the podcasts
- Create Audiograms for each episode
- Set the podcast up on hosting site and register on all the major podcast directories
- provide ongoing stat analysis of performance

The Department was facing a unique situation. It was preparing to roll out an ambitious new Curriculum for Wales for all children aged 3-16 in 2022-23. It needs to ensure that every teacher in the country knew about, understood it and engaged in the process. Podcasts were identified as being integral to the multifaceted communication strategy the Department was implementing and we were brought in to shape and deliver the them, in both English and Welsh.
